It was one of those summers when we, Punko Panda were kicking to check off our weekend for sun-soaking and water-drenching activities. What else could that be, but some islands and some white beach.
After our
Nalusuan Island adventure, we decided to go farther out from Mactan, Cebu. We've already kissed the province of Bohol as we reached our next summer destination, Pandanon Island.

Pandanon Island's sandbar and freshly harvested sea urchin. |
Our boat first stayed at the sandbar side of Pandanon Island. That's where most of our pictures were taken.
We also went swimming and played some water games at the other side of the island, where there was a white beach and cottages. We had no photos taken there because we couldn't bring our cameras with us in the water nor can we leave it unattended at the beach.
As we were nearing the end of our trip, our outrigger set out to the other side where the white beach was. We were farther from the shore though and our boat had to be anchored to the rocky bottom.
Check out our photos for the Pandanon trip.

Our outrigger boat is huge! It can take 50 pax. |

Evz, Marmie and Bondoc, with our guide, braving the waves, the sun and the wind. |

We just arrived in this postcard-worthy scene. |

Our boat touched the sun and soon our feet would. |

True enough, here's our excited island-hoppers April, Bondoc and Marmie. |
|
April and Marmie loved the sun for awhile. (We all got horrible sunburn after.) |

the foodie that I am couldn't be bothered with touring the island yet. Let me have a taste with this sea urchin. Check out my take on this sea urchin food encounter. Visit my food blog here. |
